  7. digital video image materials perfect for multimedia, nonlinear video editing etc.

  12. This product consists of three CD-ROMs: Disc 1 (browser, multimedia
  13. materials) and Discs 2 and 3 (digital video [DV] editing materials).

  23. Because the DV editing materials stored on Discs 2 and 3 have a viewing angle of
  24. 720 x 486 pixels (9:6 aspect ratio), they will appear longer horizontally on a
  25. computer screen than in multimedia materials.

  55. How to use the VIDEO-SOZAIJITEN browser ------------------
  56.  
  57. [Starting up]
  58.  
  59. Insert the VIDEO-SOZAIJITEN CD (Disc 1)  into the CD-ROM drive.
  60. Double click the "Vbrowser.exe" icon.
  61. * Set your display to 32000 colors or more before starting up.
  62. * If you change the display setting while using the browser, it may
  63.   cause disturbance on the screen.
  64. * QuickTime 3.0 is required.

  67. - Scroll
  68. Press the scroll button to scroll one or three lines at a time.
  69. Press the scroll bar to jump to a target line.

  71. - Material selection
  72. Click on the material you want to use, and it will be surrounded by a yellow
  73. frame.  This is called "material selected."
  74. * The image shown on the material selection screen is a thumbnail image
  75.   displaying major frames for each material.

  77. - PLAY
  78. To play the movie, click PLAY when you are in the "material selected" mode
  79. or double-click the material.
  80. Select other materials to stop the playing.

  82. - STOP
  83. Click STOP to halt the playing of movies.

  86. Click TOP to move to the first movie frame.

  88. - REW
  89. Click REW to rewind the movie by one frame.  Set the LOOP mode to ON to jump
  90. from the first to the last frame.

  93. Click FWD to advance the movie by one frame.  Set the LOOP mode to ON to jump
  94. from the last to the first frame.

  97. Click END to move to the last movie frame.

  100. Click LOOP to set or reset the LOOP mode.
  101. Click PLAY when the LOOP mode is ON to replay the selected movie.
  102. Click LOOP again to reset the LOOP mode.

  105. The lapsed time for the material being played is displayed, in the order of hour,
  106. minute, second and frame number.

  108. - duration
  109. The playing time of the selected material is displayed.

  111. - ZOOM
  112. Click ZOOM to magnify the selected material to 320 x 240 pixels.
  113. Select some material and click the ZOOM key, and the screen will change to the
  114. zoom display mode and the first frame will be shown.
  115. Press the PLAY key to play the movie.  Click RETURN to go back to the material
  116. selection screen.
  117. * Because the data is stored in a high-resolution format, frame dropouts will occur
  118.   when the material is replayed with a browser.
  119. * Materials for DV editing (720 x 486 pixels) are stored on either Disc 2 or 3.

  122. Select some material and click FIND, and multimedia materials (320 x 240 pixels)
  123. will be found on the CD-ROM and displayed in the window.

  127. - SAVE
  128. Select some material and click SAVE, and multimedia materials (320 x 240 pixels)
  129. will be found on the CD-ROM and saved in a designated place as a file.

  131. - QUIT
  132. Click QUIT to exit the VIDEO-SOZAIJITEN browser.
